Sheriff Makes Significant Bust in the Bertsch Tract

The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department made a significant fentanyl bust on the south end of Waldo Street last Sunday evening. Gregorio Perez, age unknown, was arrested for felony drug sales.

Deputies contacted more than 20 people, resulting in 16 misdemeanor arrests related to illegal drugs and/or outstanding warrant violations.

Perez was found to be in possession of 23 grams of methamphetamine with intent to sell. Deputies also located a pistol-grip shotgun and metal knuckles in Perez’s trailer.

All 16 subjects were booked into the Del Norte County Jail.

“We are not a big department, but our deputies and K9 Zuko are incredible! Thank you, deputies,” said Sheriff Garrett Scott.
